ECF held its 2022 Annual Board of Directors Meeting via Zoom on January 22 and unanimously passed to adopt the theme, “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “l will rescue him; l will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.” Psalms 91:14

The Bible Church, ECF’s ministry partner in Goa, India, celebrated its 6th anniversary. President Chan attended the celebration via zoom from Los Angeles.

In partnership with Chinese Christian Herald Crusade (CCHC) in Los Angeles, ECF purchased and donated hundreds of ventilators to hospitals and medical facilities in Indonesia for those who were suffering from COVID-19 illness and complications.

中佈與基督教角聲佈道團合力購買過百部的呼吸機及其他醫療用品，送到印尼有需要的醫院和人民使用。

In partnership with Chinese Christian Herald Crusade (CCHC) in Los Angeles, ECF purchased and donated hundreds of ventilators to hospitals and medical facilities in Indonesia.

On Saturday, November 6, ECF held a Dr. J. Edwin Orr’s seminar on the topic of Financial Planning and Biblical Perspectives in Money Management. Mr. Sau-Wing Lam, who is a Christian and well-versed in the areas of Money & Finance, was the featured speaker of the seminar. It is indeed an honor for ECF to be able to partner with Mr. Lam in such well-attended local ministry.

ECF International Chapel held a special evening worship – Mission Night – in which missionaries Emerson and Ivy Wu shared their ministry experience in our Grace Community Chapel in Macau and in other parts of Asia. Emerson and Ivy were also active in discipleship training and student ministry on college campuses. Thank you, Emerson and Ivy, for your God-pleasing and life-changing services to His people; and may the Lord’s abundant blessing be upon you and your family forever!

感謝神帶領中佈在十月十六日的宣教崇拜，當天晚上有吳茂森和李美瑢夫婦在網上分享他們在中佈澳門恩慈堂及亞洲不同地區的宣教經驗。隨了在教會事奉外，他們也積極的推動校園活動及聖經培訓課程。多謝吳茂森夫婦的獻身，為主使用，作神的僕人。願神大大的祝福及保守他們和家人！

ECF International Chapel hosts the special evening worship – Mission Night online

Mission Night was held on October 16, 2021

Beginning in October 2021, ECF expanded its ministry in Tra-Bong, Vietnam by launching a new English Conversation Program to further benefit, educate, and equip the children there for a better future. Two local American-Chinese Vietnamese college students, Bryant and Jeanette Phung, are the Master Teachers. They are siblings and reside in El Monte, California.

中佈在十月開始了一個為期十週的「英語培訓課程」，希望直着這課程能提高山區孩子們的溝通能力和生活水平，建立自信。
中佈很榮幸得到兩位老師，以網上的形式，來教導山區的孩子們。老師是 Bryant Phung (馮偉智）和 Jeanette Phung (馮玉青），他們是在美國出生的中國越南華人。

Since joining ECF as Master Teacher of our English Conversation Class in July 2021, Ms. Teresa Fisher continues to enthusiastically share her knowledge and experience with her students, every week with dedication and creative pedagogies. Teresa has over 30 years of teaching experience and was a graduate with an MA degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from Azusa Pacific University. Teresa is so well-liked by all her students, industrious, and reliable. It is indeed our blessing to have Teresa as part of our teaching staff.

自從 Ms. Teresa Fisher 成為中佈的英文老師之後，她每星期都盡責的用心教導學生們。Teresa 有30多年教學經驗，亦在阿蘇阿太平洋大學取得碩士學位。在學生們眼中，她是一位又勤力而深受學生們愛戴的好老師。能夠得到Teresa 來到中佈與我們同工，在社區同作榮神益人的事工，是中佈的榮幸。

President Chan and Mr. Peter Chan, former Mayor and Council Member of Monterey Park, welcomed Mr. & Mrs. Nguyen Trac Toan on their historic visit to Los Angeles on May 17, 2021. Mr. Toan is the Consul General of Vietnam with his office in San Francisco. A welcoming banquet, which was well attended by community leaders in the San Gabriel areas, was held and organized by the US Vietnam General Chamber of Commerce.

陳會長與前蒙特利公園市市長及現任議員陳贊新先生，歡迎在五月十七日從三潘市到訪的越南總領事和太太（Mr. & Mrs. Nguyen Trac Toan)。美國越南總商會舉辦宴會歡迎他們到訪，而當天晚上亦有很多來賓到來參加，氣氛非常熱鬧。

Through ECF’s Dr. J. Edwin Orr Center, two more enrichment seminars were held via Zoom: (1) Financial Aid and Biblical Perspectives on Money Management by Mr. Sau-Wing Lam; and (2) Impacts of Chinese Medicine on the Body’s Regulatory Systems Against Viruses by Dr. Li Qin Sun. The seminars were held back-to-back on Saturday, June 12, 2021 and were well attended by the local community.

The Spring English Conversation class held a virtual graduation ceremony on June 4, 2021. Their proud teacher, Ms. Kunyou Guan, hosted the program. President Anthony Chan presented Completion Certificates on behalf of ECF. A special surprise was when Mr. Peter Chan, current Council Member and Former Mayor of Monterey Park, presented commendations issued by the City of Monterey Park to each student. It was truly a day to remember!

Thailand Bethel Theological Institute held its Annual Graduation with 19 graduates from the Thai and Chinese Departments. Graduation ceremony was conducted virtually due to the ongoing pandemic crisis.

Thailand Bethel Theological Institute held its Annual Graduation with 19 graduates from the Thai and Chinese Departments

ECF hosted a “Personal Finance Workshop” via Zoom and was conducted by Mr. Sau-Wing Lam. It was well attended with 100 participants in the audience. The workshop is the first seminar presented by the Dr. J. Edwin Orr Center.

ECF held a “12-week Mandarin Conversation Class” for Adults and Children via Zoom. Mr. Sun Nan, member of International Chapel, was the Mandarin specialist and teacher.

ECF held its Annual Board Meeting via zoom for the first time and unanimously passed to adopt the theme in the book of 2 Chronicle 7:14, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” Rev. David Guzik, Board Member and 1st Vice-President, opened the meeting with a devotional. Board member Ms. Susanne Lee was nominated and unanimously approved to be ECF’s Treasurer. President Chan thanked Ms. Linda Pauloo for her years of service as Treasurer and presented her with a plaque as a token of appreciation on behalf of the board.

中國佈道會開了一年一度的董事年㑹，亦一致通過主題記載在舊約歴代志下第七章14節：這稱為我名下的子民，若是自卑，禱告，尋求我的面，轉離他們的惡行，我必從天上垂聽，赦免他們的罪，醫治他們的地。當天，中佈第一副會長顧錫奇牧師分享神的話語及董事局一致通過委任李秋生董事為中佈的財務主管。陳㑹長多謝普蓮德女士多年在中佈為財務主管，表揚她忠心的事奉。
